As a member of the Bible Gateway Blogger Grid (BG²), I received this Bible free in exchange for my honest review.

Pastor Henry Hampton Halley (1874-1965) originally printed his 16-page booklet titled Suggestions Concerning Bible Study as a study help for his audiences in 1922. By 1960 Halley’s Pocket Bible Handbook was in it’s 22nd edition, with 968 pages. Today, Halley’s Bible Handbook has more than 6 million copies in print in multiple languages.

Bible publisher Zondervan has now combined Halley’s notes alongside the New International Version Bible translation in Halley’s Study Bible. Verse-by-verse study notes,  photography of archaeological findings and biblical places, and Zondervan’s exclusive NIV Comfort Print® typeface all come together to make this a treasured study Bible.

My take: Size – comfortable. Cover – hardback with a brown, canvas-like texture. Paper color – fairly bright white, making my own highlights & notes easy to read. Paper type – a bit on the thin side but common for Bibles this size. Font & print size – comfortable on my eyes. Study notes & helps – extensive without overwhelming. Page numbers & scripture references – located at the top outside edges of the page for quickly finding a passage.

Overall, I highly recommend this Bible.
