Hermie, A Common Caterpillar

Hermie
A Common Caterpillar

By Max Lucado
Published by Thomas Nelson

Hermie  is caterpillar.
Just a common caterpillar.
A  sad common caterpillar.
Hermie and his friend Wormie see other of God’s creatures with what they see as more beauty, talent or gifts that they have been given. But when they talk to God about how “common” and unimportant they feel , God gently but faithfully reminds them that He is not finished with them yet!  Young readers will be encouraged as they are reminded that they too are a work in progress – and that God has a plan for their life as they seek Him.

Listed as a Level 2 Reader, young readers can enjoy the story while practicing their new reading skills.  Though keep in mind it is definitely an advanced level for very beginner readers.  While my kindergarten age daughter will listen to me read, she would not yet be able to read it by herself.
